Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen on Sunday rejected United States President Donald Trump's plan to send a "hospital boat" to the island.
In a post on Facebook, Nielsen noted that "we have a free healthcare system that is available to all," which "is not the case in the US, where medical care is very expensive." He affirmed that Greenland is "always open to dialogue and cooperation," but stressed that "it's a 'no, thanks'" for Trump's boat.
Last night, Trump announced that he's working with Lousiana Governor Jeff Laundry to send a "hospital boat" to the disputed island to "take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there."
