Russia is helping Iran with drone tactics and their use on the battlefield, CNN reported on Wednesday, citing Western officials with knowledge of the matter.
According to one source, the "support" is becoming "more concerning," with evidence that the strategies used by Iran are similar to those Russia is using in Ukraine. In the context of the Ukraine war, Moscow has been deploying Shahed drones against Kiev in waves, with multiple drones flying together and changing course regularly to evade air defenses.
The report comes a day after White House Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff declared to CNBC that Russian officials told US President Donald Trump they had not shared intelligence with Iran during the war.
