Facing a severe shortage of storage due to the US blockade, Iran is turning to unusual and never-before-used tactics to hold onto its crude, according to current and former Iranian officials, The Wall Street Journal said on Monday, citing them.
The media claimed that Tehran is now using shipping containers and "junk storage" in oil hubs of Ahvaz and Asaluyeh in the south of the country, as it depends on oil exports for most of its revenue, and tanks are filling up as shipments cannot leave ports.
