Explosions were heard in Bushehr and Asaluyeh in southern Iran, amid renewed escalation between Iran and the United States, although the cause behind the blasts remains unclear.
There were additional, unconfirmed reports of blasts in the port city of Bandar Abbas and in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province, where a police headquarters might have been struck. Moreover, US forces have allegedly used HIMARS (M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) to launch attacks on Iran from Bahrain.
More airstrikes have been reported in the meantime.
