Iran hit by new explosions, jets heard over Tehran

 Additional explosions thundered in southern Iran, with reports emerging of Iranian Air Force (IRIAF) jets patrolling the skies over Tehran and possible activation of air defenses amid possible incursion of US planes into the country's airspace.

Chabahar, a city in southern Iran on the shores of the Gulf of Oman, Jask, Bandar Abbas, and other areas were struck, as the US confirmed a new round of strikes against Iran. Still, unverified reports claimed an explosion also occurred in Kerman, western Iran, a part of the country not previously attacked by US forces since the ceasefire. Meanwhile, there was still no confirmation of any attacks in western Iran.

While the US Central Command (CENTCOM) previously confirmed the hostilities, it did not specify how long the operation would last.
