The IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) repelled an attack from an unidentified militant group as it entered the Sarfan area, state media reported on Saturday. Iranian media announced that the militants were affiliated with Israel and the United States, accusing them of intending to carry out a series of terrorist acts in the province in conjunction with escalating tensions as a result of the US-Iran war.
The IRGC team responsible for stopping the militants recovered 20 packages of explosives along with explosive devices, a large number of light and semi-heavy weapons along with light and semi-heavy ammunition and Starlink communication devices.
