Kuwait and Pakistan signed on Thursday a joint defense and military cooperation agreement during Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah's visit to Islamabad.
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said in a statement that during his visit, Al-Sabah also met with his Pakistani counterpart, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral military cooperation, as well as regional developments.
"The signing of this agreement represents an important milestone in the course of military and defense cooperation between the two countries, given the supportive framework it provides for enhancing operational coordination, exchanging expertise, and elevating the level of readiness and integration between the armed forces, in service of shared interests and contributing to supporting regional security and stability," the army stated.
