Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called for closer cooperation with China and faster implementation of joint agreements and projects, according to Iran's foreign ministry on Wednesday.
Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with Iran's ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, in Tehran.
He stressed the importance of what Tehran describes as its strategic relationship with Beijing and called for greater use of existing opportunities for cooperation, particularly under the two countries' 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement.
Araghchi also called for continued consultations and coordination between Iran and China on regional and international developments.
