Saudi Aramco offers more oil to China outside Strait of Hormuz - Reuters

Saudi Aramco has offered more crude for September loading outside the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing four sources with knowledge of the matter.

The Saudi producer has begun a second consecutive week of sales for Arab Medium and Arab Heavy crude to Asian buyers, with cargoes offered through ship-to-ship transfers off Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates or Sohar in Oman, both outside the strait, Reuters said.

The move follows the sale of at least 4 million barrels of Saudi crude to China this month through transfers off Sohar, according to shipping data cited by Reuters.

Shipping data also showed Aramco had used tankers with tracking systems switched off to move cargoes through the Strait of Hormuz amid security risks since the US-Iran war began in February, Reuters reported.
