The United Arab Emirates' Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the country is halting all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran until further notice.
The authorities underlined that they are taking this step "in light of regional escalations that undermine regional and international peace and security."
The country reiterated, nonetheless, that it remains committed to dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration, seeing these as "essential means of advancing peace, stability, and prosperity" in the area. Earlier today, the UAE said that Tehran fired two missiles toward its territory.
