Iran sent Hezbollah $200 million after Lebanon war - Reuters
Hezbollah received $200 million from Iran last month to help Lebanese displaced by this year’s war with Israel, Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing two people with direct knowledge of the transfer.
The money was sent despite tighter US financial pressure on Iran and growing difficulties in transferring funds to Hezbollah, according to the report.
Intermediaries who moved the money charged a 20% fee because of the risks involved, with one source saying that was four times the usual rate.
A Hezbollah official told Reuters that funds had been secured and that a distribution plan would be announced in the coming days, but did not identify the source of the money.

US, Saudi navy chiefs discuss maritime security
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday that the country's naval Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Ghurairi met with United States Naval Forces Central Command and Fifth Fleet Commander Kurt Renshaw to discuss maritime cooperation.
The ministry said in a post on X that the talks aimed to serve the countries' shared interests, strengthen maritime security, and promote "freedom of navigation in the region."
The meeting follows Houthi claims of attacks on two Saudi airports and a United Arab Emirates statement condemning the group's targeting of Saudi vessels in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Separately, the Royal Saudi Navy is organizing the fourth Saudi International Maritime Forum in Riyadh from November 23 to 25, 2026.

Lycia Therapeutics files for a $100 million IPO, targeting food allergies and autoimmune diseases
Lycia Therapeutics, a Phase 1 biotech developing protein degraders for food allergy and Graves' disease, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering.
Lycia Therapeutics is developing therapeutics designed to degrade disease-causing extracellular proteins, with an initial focus on autoimmune, inflammatory, and allergic diseases, using its LYTAC (Lysosomal Targeting Chimera) platform, which is based on work by Nobel laureate Carolyn Bertozzi at Stanford University. Its lead candidate, LCA-0061, is designed to degrade IgE for the treatment of allergic diseases, including food allergy, and is in a Phase 1 trial; preliminary data from the first cohort of eight healthy atopic participants (two placebo) showed a mean maximum immunoglobulin E (IgE) reduction of 96% from baseline for those dosed. A second IgE candidate, LCA-0062, is in IND-enabling activities. The company is also conducting a Phase 1 trial of LCA-0321, which is designed to selectively degrade the autoantibodies that drive Graves' disease.
The South San Francisco, CA-based company was founded in 2019 and booked $4 million in revenue for the 12 months ended June 30, 2026. It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol LYCA. Lycia Therapeutics filed confidentially on July 2, 2026. Jefferies, TD Securities, Evercore ISI, and Guggenheim Securities are the joint bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.

Boots to be bought by Canada’s Weston family for £6.7bn
High street giant Boots is to be bought by the Canadian branch of the billionaire Weston family for 8.9 billion US dollars (£6.7 billion).
Wittington Investments, the Weston's holding company, will buy the business from majority owner, private equity firm Sycamore Partners, and the Pessina family.
It comes only a year after Sycamore took over Boots through the acquisition of parent firm Walgreens Boots Alliance, before splitting the business into divisions.
The takeover deal will see Wittington acquire Boots' retail and pharmacy operations in the UK and Ireland, Boots Opticians, the No7 Beauty Company, and its Thailand and franchise businesses.
Galen Weston, chairman of Wittington – who will become chairman of Boots, said: "Boots is one of Britain's most enduring businesses, with a rich heritage, a trusted name and a vital role in everyday life across the UK and Ireland.
"We see a meaningful opportunity to make a great business even better through stable long-term ownership, further capital investment, and the renewed operating focus required to serve customers with excellence for generations to come."
