Fire reported at Venezuelan refinery

 A fire broke out at the Cardon Refinery in Venezuela, local media reported on Tuesday. This is the country's second-largest refinery, located in the northwest.

Firefighters rushed to the scene, conducting a preventive evacuation of the personnel, Punto Fijo shared, adding that teams remain on the site, monitoring the situation. It is yet to be determined what caused the fire.

The refinery's crude oil processing capacity is 310,000 barrels per day.
