Reports by International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi provided a pretext for attacks on Iran, a lawmaker said on Wednesday.

He also said that Iran’s cooperation with the agency depended on it meeting its obligations to the country.
'One-third of Iran’s lawmakers to attend parliament in person next week, MP says'
About one-third of Iran’s lawmakers are expected to attend parliamentary sessions in person from next week, while others will be able to speak and vote remotely by tablet, lawmaker Valiollah Bayati said on Wednesday.
The presiding board’s current plan is for each parliamentary committee to select three members to attend in person on a rotating basis, Bayati said. The arrangement has not been finalized, but it would allow all lawmakers to attend in person at some point during the month.
Lawmakers want to hold in-person sessions, he said, but current wartime conditions do not allow all 275 members to gather in one place.

Ali Abdollahi pointed to the killing of Qassem Soleimani, Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, saying their “heroic deeds” would continue.
“October 7 turned the Resistance Front’s defensive strategy into an offensive strategy to lawfully defend the Palestinian people and their land,” he said.
Abdollahi, who also heads Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said “defending the Palestinian cause” would continue following the policies set by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Iran’s military could carry out further preemptive attacks if it considers them necessary to deter future strikes, an army spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Mohammad Akraminia said the change had accelerated under the late armed forces chief of staff and had already been put into practice during the recent war.
“If necessary, we will carry out preemptive operations in the future to deter the enemy from any aggression or attack,” Akraminia said.
