Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang pointed out on Wednesday that despite seeing the "largest infrastructure buildout in human history," there are "trillions of dollars" of infrastructure still needed to be developed in order to support the next stage of artificial intelligence innovation.
"We are in the beginning of this journey […] we're only a few hundred billion dollars of infrastructure built for what likely will be trillions of dollars of infrastructure built each year," he elaborated during his speech at Davos' World Economic Forum.
According to Huang, Nvidia sees its position as supplying the necessary infrastructure for "hyperscalers" and multinational corporations to use AI as a fundamental technology to improve operational efficiency.
