United States President Donald Trump expressed hope on Wednesday that his country will not have to undertake any further action against Iran.
Speaking to CNBC on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Trump noted that taking or not taking action depends on the Iranian authorities' treatment of the participants of the ongoing protests in the country, claiming that they planned to hang "837 mostly young people."
He also linked a potential decision to Iran's approach to its nuclear program. Furthermore, he insisted that Iran would have developed a nuclear weapon if the US and Israel had not struck its production facilities in 2025.
