Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told MSNBC in an interview released on Friday that he believes Tehran will finish drafting a proposal for a nuclear agreement "in the next two or three days." "I will need to get approval from my superiors, then pass it on to the United States," he explained.
He further mentioned that during this week's talks in Geneva, Switzerland, the United States did not ask Iran for "zero uranium enrichment." Araghchi went on to add that Tehran did not put such an offer on the table either. He reiterated that the goal of the discussions is to ensure that Iran's nuclear program is "peaceful."
Tensions remained high, as media reported that Washington is considering carrying out limited strikes against Iran "within days."
