United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that the country's response to Iran's attack on the Bazan refinery in the Haifa Bay area will be coming "shortly."
In a conversation with the New York Post, Trump also suggested that the US is currently negotiating with Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and that his administration will see "soon" if Ghalibaf is willing to work with Washington. "We're going to find out, I'll let you know that in about a week," Trump added.
Furthermore, the US president reiterated that there had been a change of regime in Iran and that the US is "dealing with a whole new set of people," adding that "thus far, they've been much more reasonable." Asked whether Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei is still alive, Trump said, "We think probably yes, but in extraordinarily bad shape
