Microsoft Security Executive Vice President Hayete Gallot has replaced several senior executives who previously reported to the group's prior leader, according to a report by The Information on Wednesday.
The new hires include Naseem Tuffaha and Rajesh Sundaram, while departures include Joy Chik, Shawn Bice and six more people. The media outlet said Gallot is reshaping the division to accelerate an AI overhaul, prioritizing tools like Security Copilot and cutting traditional products to boost revenue growth.
She also cut hundreds of roles as part of broader layoffs, emphasizing the need for "clarity, conviction, and focus".
