The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday it launched a new wave of attacks on Iran this evening, targeting "military capabilities used to threaten vessels freely transiting through the Strait of Hormuz." The strikes mark the second series of attacks on the Middle Eastern country today.
CENTCOM noted that the US military is "holding Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief's [President Donald Trump's] direction."
Meanwhile, Iranian news agency Mehr reported that American forces attacked four points around the city of Ahvaz, as well as a point near Bandar Abbas. No casualties have been reported following the latest strikes.
