A Houthi official warned Turkey on Saturday against joining what he described as Saudi Arabia’s “aggression and siege” of Yemen, saying Ankara should understand that the conflict began with Riyadh’s military intervention in 2015.
Hizam al-Asad said on X that Turkey should recognize the historical differences between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, adding that anyone wishing to join Saudi Arabia in its “aggression and siege” of Yemen was welcome to “try,” referring to the sea separating the two countries.
