Iranian lawmaker Amirhossein Sabeti called for the rulers of neighboring Persian Gulf states that host US military bases to be included among Iran’s “revenge targets,” saying that they played a role in the killing of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during the war.
Sabeti specifically named Bahrain’s Al Khalifa, the UAE’s Al Nahyan and Saudi Arabia’s Al Saud ruling families, and questioned why senior Iranian officials apologized to the Arab countries on the fifth day of the war after US bases there were targeted.
