Senator Elissa Slotkin wants people to be afraid of working for the Trump administration and, last November, she joined a call for military personnel to “refuse illegal orders.” The Michigan Democrat didn’t say what sort of orders American troops should disobey, but she has left clues.
In 2020 Rep. Slotkin described the Trump administration’s drone strike on Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimaini as a “provocative and disproportionate” act that imperils U.S. military service members and diplomats. Slotkin told reporters that friends and colleagues had been “hurt or killed” by rockets, mortars, and explosive devices that Soleimani had provided Iraqi “proxies,” but that was no grounds for an attack that could “pull us into protracted conflict.”
The protracted conflict with Iran began in 1979 when Iran, under the Ayatollah Khomeini, invaded the U.S. embassy in Tehran, took 66 Americans hostage and held most of them for more than a year. Slotkin was three at the time and Georgia Democrat Jimmy Carter was in the White House. The CIA, then under command of Admiral Stansfield Turner, failed to predict or prevent, that act of war. The secret agency also failed to prevent the massive attack of Sept. 11, 2001.
Slotkin claims 9/11 motivated her to join the CIA, where she served as an “intelligence analyst.” She also worked for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), the National Security Council and State Department. According to her website, Slotkin was nominated to serve as assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs. In reality, she was “acting” assistant secretary and never confirmed by the Senate.
In 2018 and 2020, Slotkin gained election to Congress along with fellow Democrat Abigail Spanberger, who reportedly served as a CIA “operations officer.” Now governor of Virginia, Spanberger has not urged troops to disobey orders or sought to scare people from working for Trump. On the other hand, shortly after her election, this so-called moderate and CIA veteran revealed her radical posture on many issues, including trans ideology, a destructive and divisive force in America today.
When asked if men should compete in women’s sports, Spanberger proves evasive. As critics note, she voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act but supported the Equality Act, which sought to make gender identity and sexual orientation a protected class. The CIA veteran has issued no criticism of sex reassignment surgeries, so she’s okay with irreversible mutilations, which she sees as collateral damage for the larger cause.
The left locks the trans types into the oppressed class, so when a transgendered Audrey Hale murdered six people, including three children, the Biden White House could say that it was the “trans community” that was “under attack” when people noticed. Men who think they are women, and vice versa, are like mental patients who think they are Napoleon, Joan of Arc, or Bette Davis. Reality dysphoria should disqualify people from intelligence service but in the CIA those considered LGBTQ+ (the alphabet people, as I call them) are a privileged class.
That emerges in Undaunted: My Fight Against America’s Enemies, at Home and Abroad by John Brennan, who was “especially privileged” to support the Agency Network for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Officers and Allies. In 1976, the year of Slotkin’s birth, Brennan voted for the Stalinist Gus Hall, so the CIA should never have hired him in the first place. Brennan rose through the ranks at lightning speed and in 2013 Obama tapped him to run the agency.
This CIA is tasked to work abroad but Brennan targeted enemies “at home” and his book turns the Russia hoax up to eleven. Brennan also signed the letter calling the Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinformation, which all 51 “intelligence community” signatories, including former CIA directors, knew was false. The Justice Department has charged former FBI officials Nikki Cole Floris and Bradley Benavides with lying to Congress about their involvement in the FBI’s investigations into Hunter Biden. So far nothing like that with the CIA prevaricators.
Obama’s fundamental transformations also emerge in Neutering the CIA: Why US Intelligence Versus Trump Has Long-Term Consequences by former CIA analyst John Gentry. DEI is the rule, contributing nothing to operations, and the place is devoid of non-Democrats. Gentry and Brennan confirm what Angelo Codevilla contended in 2020.
“Intelligence officials abuse their positions to discredit opposition to the Democratic Party, of which they are part.” noted Codevilla. “Complicit with the media, they leverage the public’s mistaken faith in their superior knowledge, competence, and patriotism to vilify their domestic enemies from behind secrecy’s shield.” The former Naval officer and Senate intelligence committee staffer, one of the few to see everything the CIA wanted money for, might have understated the case.
Since the CIA was a bust at its appointed tasks, it became a finishing school for partisan Democrats like Slotkin and Spanberger. The CIA amigas both supported the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) better known as the Iran deal. A planeload of cash to a regime chanting “Death to America” was not a problem but they are confident that the killing of Soleimani was a dangerous provocation beyond the elected president’s powers?
The CIA amigas have made the CIA-driven America a more dangerous place, with little if any accountability.
The hatemongering John Brennan faces two federal investigations, one involving his involvement in the Russia hoax. Long after it was proved false, the hoax lives on in the recently released Tradecraft, Tactics and Dirty Tricks: Russian Intelligence and Putin’s Secret War by CIA veteran Sean M. Wiswesser. President Trump, target of that Democrat operation, should now lead the charge to break up the CIA, a move Angelo Codevilla had been recommending since the 1980s.
