Several Brazilian lawmakers have called for Senator Flavio Bolsonaro to be stripped of his seat following his departure for the United States, TASS reported, citing a source in Brazil's Congress.
The source said lawmakers were also demanding an immediate suspension of Bolsonaro's salary, declaring that his political career was over.
Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, lost the presidential runoff to incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
