'Qatar working on five-day exchange of concessions proposal – NYT'

 

The New York Times reported that Qatari mediators are working on a five-day agreement under which Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping in exchange for the US lifting its naval blockade of Iranian ports.

Citing two diplomats briefed on the talks, the newspaper said Monday that the main obstacle was determining when each side would fulfill its commitments.
