An Iran-Russia gas exchange deal is nearing completion, with technical work on its implementation underway, acting Oil Minister Hamid Bovard said on Sunday.
Bovard said the agreement followed broad understandings reached by the two countries’ presidents and added that Iran planned to expand economic cooperation with Russia, particularly in oil and gas, and would discuss production plans and energy partnerships with members of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
At the meeting, Iran would also state its position on US attacks on its infrastructure, he said.
Bovard arrived in Moscow earlier in the day to attend the 28th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
