Iran has sent a new proposal to the United States via Pakistani mediators, offering to open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the lifting of the maritime blockade, Al-Arabiya reported on Saturday, citing unnamed sources.
According to the report, Iran informed Pakistan that it is ready to resume negotiations with the US, bringing the Strait of Hormuz and the US blockade of Iranian ports to the forefront of the issues to be negotiated.
The sources did not reveal if Washington responded to Tehran's proposal.
