Qatar's Ministry of Defense announced in a statement on Monday that its Air Force intercepted two Russian-made Su-24 fighter jets coming from Iran.
The ministry also revealed that seven ballistic missiles and five drones, targeting various areas across the country, were shot down. It was further mentioned that the threats were dealt with "immediately upon detection."
The ministry underlined that the Qatar Armed Forces "possess full capabilities and resources to safeguard the state's sovereignty and lands, and to respond firmly to any external threat." The general public was called to remain calm.
