Iran launched a ballistic missile toward a United States base in Saudi Arabia, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported, citing US officials.
Explosions were also reported online in the Al Kharj region, where the base is located, though reports linked the blasts to interceptions rather than direct hits. Sirens were also heard in Yanbu, a key oil pipeline site in the country.
The move marked the first direct Iranian attack on Saudi Arabia in nearly four months.
