The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday it killed a Hamas company commander in Khan Yunis. The military identified the operative as Anas Mahmoud Ahmed Hamdan, describing him as a close aide to senior Hamas leaders.
According to the military, Hamdan was involved in holding hostages and documenting release ceremonies. He was also accused of training operatives and planning attacks against troops and civilians.
The strike was carried out yesterday. The IDF stated that troops remain deployed in the area and will continue operations.
