Amazon Web Services cannot restore access to its cloud region in Bahrain or to one data-hosting zone in the United Arab Emirates after damage from the Iran war, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing a company status update.
AWS said the damage in Bahrain affected multiple availability zones and "exceeded what our regional and multi-AZ services are designed to withstand," according to Reuters.
Most customers have moved operations to other regions, the company said.
In the UAE, AWS remained unable to restore access to data and resources hosted only in one affected zone, while recovery work continued elsewhere, Reuters reported.
AWS said it would give a further UAE restoration update in the coming months and a Bahrain update in early 2027.
