Hyundai Motor Group launched an AI-powered data system to speed up the development of its self-driving cars and smart vehicle software.
This data flywheel collects real-world driving information, which is analyzed by AI to train new models, and pushed back out as software updates to improve vehicle performance over time. Minwoo Park, head of Hyundai Motor Group's Advanced Vehicle Platform Division and CEO of 42dot said that the company "will develop autonomous driving technology that customers can trust, based on a virtuous cycle of data, AI and validation."
The development roadmap targets NVIDIA-based Level 2+ vehicle production by early 2028, followed by proprietary Atria AI-powered Level 2++ systems by late 2029.
