Oil prices dropped over 1% after United States President Donald Trump announced an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine over the weekend.
The announcement, coupled with a US-Russia diesel deal from Friday, boosted hopes of more energy supplies.
Brent futures fell 1.62% to go for $103.02 per barrel at 10:12 pm ET. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) went down 1.92% to sell for $90.08 per barrel.
