Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday called for new measures to prevent Russia from believing it can continue its war indefinitely, following talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Store and French President Emmanuel Macron.
"This is a particularly critical time, when new steps are needed to prevent Russia from getting the impression that it can break the world and continue the war forever," Zelensky wrote on X after speaking with Store.
Earlier, he said he had a call with Macron during Russia's ballistic attack on Kyiv, where he discussed additional air defense supplies with him and urged stronger pressure on Moscow. He also raised concerns over the "challenges posed by the easing of sanctions" on Russian oil products, stressing that joint action was needed to limit Moscow's ability to "prolong the war."
