King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, issued an advisory notice on Saturday, while local media reported that news blasts were heard in the capital and near the airport.
"Please contact your airline directly and confirm your flight status before heading to the airport. Thank you for your cooperation," the airport said in the notice to passengers.
Saudi authorities have not yet issued any official statements, while media reports claimed that the airport was supposedly closed to landings, and several planes were redirected to other airports.
