European Council President Antonio Costa announced on Monday that the European Union's second summit with the United Kingdom will take place on November 20, during which British Prime Minister Andy Burnham will join Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels to discuss bilateral relations and security in the region.
"Our security and prosperity are closely intertwined, making a strong partnership between us essential. By deepening our cooperation, we can strengthen our ability to address the challenges of our time, strengthen our resilience and promote stability in Europe and beyond," Costa stated.
In August, the British prime minister said that he is seeking to build closer ties with the European Union.
