Seoul: N. Korea fires projectile toward East Sea

North Korea fired off an "unidentified projectile" toward the East Sea, Yonhap reported, citing South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The military agency announced that it detected the launch but did not provide any further details regarding the flight path or the specific type of weapon used.

This latest event follows previous missile tests by North Korea, coming after authorities reported a ballistic missile launch on October 3 from the Wonsan area toward the same eastern waters.
