'Araghchi says US launched attacks from UAE territory'

 

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with MS NOW’s Velshi that US forces used locations in the United Arab Emirates to launch rocket attacks on Iran’s Kharg and Abu Musa islands.

“The reaction would be clear,” Araghchi said. “Last night they attacked Kharg Island and Abu Musa Island” using HIMARS rockets.

He said Iranian forces tracked the launches and determined they came from two locations in the UAE, including Ras Al-Khaimah and an area near Dubai.

“It is now clear that they were fired from the UAE,” Araghchi said, calling the use of neighboring territory to attack Iran “absolutely unacceptable.”

He also said it was “very dangerous” to launch rockets from areas close to heavily populated locations.
