Kuwait's emir slams Iran over attacks on neighbors

 Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah criticized Iran over its missile and drone attacks on Kuwait and other Middle Eastern countries.

"We were subjected to a brutal attack from a neighboring country we consider a friend. Iran attacked our country even though we did not allow our territory to be used in any action against it," the emir emphasized, adding that the region is facing an unprecedented escalation. He also urged the international community "to shoulder its responsibilities in condemning" the Iranian aggression across the region.

The day before, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) claimed that it struck a United States military base in Kuwait.
