Yemen’s government forces said they carried out retaliatory attacks on an Iran-backed Houthi camp in al-Jawf province, Al Jazeera reported, citing a military spokesman.
Col. Majeed Al-Nuzayli said the forces used “advanced capabilities recently introduced into service” in the attack on Al-Labnat camp.
“We destroyed the Houthi militia’s capabilities and elements in the Al-Labnat Camp,” Al-Nuzayli said, according to the report.
He said the operation came in response to what he described as continued “escalation and violations” by the Iran-backed Houthis.
