Google adds music generation model to Gemini

 Google LLC announced Friday that it has added its updated Lyria 3.5 music generation model to the Gemini app and Gemini API globally.

Users can select or describe their preferred genre and choose between vocal and instrumental tracks, while new templates will help users create everything from background music to personalized birthday songs, giving them the option to generate either shorter or longer tracks, Google said in a blog post.

In 2023, Google first introduced Lyra, describing it as "the most advanced AI music generation model to date."
