Iranian lawmaker and former Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Iran's armed forces would make the Omani route through the Strait of Hormuz unsafe for the United States, according to Sputnik.
"Our armed forces will make the Omani route through the Strait of Hormuz so unsafe that the US will not dare send ships through it," Mottaki said.
"Just as we will not give up the Strait of Hormuz, we will not give up enrichment either," he said.
Mottaki said Washington, for Tehran to return to negotiations, must "release frozen assets, withdraw its forces from the region, fulfill its commitments regarding Lebanon and accept our sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz."
