The US Treasury Department imposed Iran-related sanctions on three Turkey-based financial entities Friday, the latest action in Washington’s economic pressure campaign against Tehran.
The measures target Golden Global Portfoy Yonetimi Anonim Sirketi, Golden Global Varlik Kiralama Anonim Sirketi and Golden Global Yatirim Bankasi Anonim Sirketi.
Treasury also issued a general license allowing transactions involving the sanctioned entities to be wound down.
The action comes six months into the US-Iran war as the Trump administration steps up efforts to squeeze Tehran financially.
