Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has "no trust" in negotiations with the United States, accusing US President Donald Trump of breaking off previous talks despite reaching an understanding with Iran.
In an interview with Al-Iraqiya News, Araghchi said Iran had participated in three rounds of negotiations with Washington, which he claimed all "turned into waging war" against Iran. "For us, there is absolutely no trust towards the Americans," he said.
However, Araghchi confirmed that negotiations with the US are continuing through intermediary countries, including Pakistan and Qatar. Araghchi also said Iran and Oman had agreed on designated shipping lanes through the Strait of Hormuz. Turning to Yemen, he said Tehran had offered to mediate between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthis but had yet to receive a response from either side.
