United States President Donald Trump is said to have ordered Central Command (CENTCOM) to prepare a plan to strike Iran "without deadline," Israel-based Kann News journalist Gili Cohen reported on Friday, citing sources.
The move also prompted the joint US-Israel defense systems to be put on alert ahead of potential action against Iran, people familiar with the information said. However, defense officials reportedly expressed reservations about launching an attack before the elections, though the source did not rule out military action after the US midterm election and before the end of the year.
The insider claimed that Iran was unwilling to compromise on the nuclear issue, which remains the central point of contention.
