'Ukraine said to be out of US Patriot missiles'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Financial Times in a fiery interview that Kyiv would halt strikes on Russian energy sites at Washington's request, provided that Ukraine receives more missiles for US-made Patriot air defense systems, revealing that the response he received from the US was to "block" the Starlink network in Ukraine. "The American president has all the effective and necessary tools to bring peace closer through strength, justice, and pressure on the aggressor. We ask for additional packages of Patriot missile interceptors for Ukraine," Zelensky pleaded in a public statement published yesterday.

During his visit to New York last month, Zelensky underlined that Patriot systems play a crucial role in Ukraine's defense against Russian ballistic missile attacks, calling on Washington and other allies for support to provide missiles needed for the air defense system.
