Houthis launch hypersonic missile against Israel

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree revealed in a statement on Sunday that the militant group carried out a qualitative military operation against Israel using a hypersonic ballistic missile with multiple warheads.

The spokesman detailed that the goal of the operation was to hit "several sensitive targets in the occupied Jerusalem area," with objectives successfully achieved.

He added that the Houthis continue to monitor the situation in the Gaza Strip, adding that the group will continue its support of the Palestinian people until Israel halts its aggression.

Israel insists it will follow Trump's Gaza plan

Israeli government spokesperson David Mencer told Sky News on Sunday that Israel will "adhere to" United States President Donald Trump's 20-step Gaza peace plan.

"The first aspect of this deal, which is why Israel's people are behind it and why Israel's government is behind it, is the release of all of our hostages. Once that happens, then the subsequent aspects of this agreement will come into place," he commented, not giving a straight answer to the question of when the Israeli bombing will stop.

Gaza's Hamas-run Health Ministry said in an update that since yesterday morning, at least 66 people have been killed and 250 wounded in Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, another Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian claimed that there is "a temporary halt in certain bombings."

'Pistorius: Russia may hit NATO countries in few years'

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told Handelsblatt in an interview released on Sunday that by 2029, "Russia will have reconstituted its armed forces to such an extent that it would be capable of attacking NATO territory."

He noted that due to this possibility, the countries shouldn't just "hope for a best-case scenario," but rather prepare for "the worst-case scenario." Talking about today's situation, Pistorius mentioned that it resembles the Cold War, as no shots are being fired, but there are some provocations.

On the topic of recent drone incursions happening across Europe, he insisted that Moscow is behind it as "no one else has an interest in sending large numbers of drones to Denmark or Poland." When it comes to drone sightings in Germany, Pistorius stressed that the public should stay calm. "The Bundeswehr cannot be everywhere in Germany where drones appear and take them down," he remarked.

'GLP-1s from Novo, Lilly 'should be first-line in obesity''

The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) has called for GLP-1 agonists from Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly to be used first-line for people with obesity and most of its complications.

New guidelines from the organisation – published in Nature Medicine – recognise that while there are multiple options on the market, Novo Nordisk's GLP-1 drug Wegovy (semaglutide) and Lilly's dual GLP-1/GIP agonist Zepbound (tirzepatide) "are so effective that they should be the first choice in almost all cases," according to lead author Dr Andreea Ciudin of Spain's metabolic disorders institute CIBERDEM.

The recommendation reflects that the management of obesity "should not be limited to weight loss alone but should instead adopt a holistic approach that includes the prevention, resolution or improvement of complications, enhanced mental well-being, physical fitness, social functioning, and overall health and quality of life," according to the paper.

It also concludes that, when the need for weight loss on health grounds is not so acute, other drugs can be considered – including Novo Nordisk's older GLP-1 agonist liraglutide, naltrexone–bupropion, and phentermine-topiramate.

The guideline recommends specific drugs for patients, depending on the obesity-related complications they are living with, in a personalised approach.

They have separated these complications into two broad categories, specifically fat mass disease, which is associated with physical problems like osteoarthritis and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), and sick-fat disease, characterised by prediabetes and heart and liver diseases.

Semaglutide should be considered first for knee osteoarthritis and tirzepatide for OSA, they recommend. Meanwhile, the data support semaglutide for people with a history of heart disease, tirzepatide for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and either drug if patients have prediabetes/type 2 diabetes and/or heart failure.

The EASO notes that the guideline was prepared before Novo Nordisk's recent approval for Wegovy in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic hepatitis (MASH), and future updates are likely to include the drug as a first-line option in this setting.

It also points to emerging data for the GLP-1 class in other indications, including chronic kidney disease, neurodegenerative disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, certain cancers, and mental health conditions, that may further strengthen the case for GLP-1-based drugs as the go-to weight-loss therapy, and has promised to update the guideline regularly.

"Although no treatment algorithm can replace the nuanced clinical judgment required for such comprehensive assessments, this tool can serve to support therapeutic decision-making in obesity," said Ciudin. "This new class of GLP-1 agonists and GIP/GLP-1 dual agonists is completely transforming care of obesity and its complications."

Co-lead author Prof Barbara McGowan of Guys & St Thomas's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the UK stressed that tailoring treatment to the individual "is a complex task that must consider several factors, including the severity of adiposity, the presence and extent of complications, comorbidities and concurrent therapies. Socioeconomic context, patient values, expectations, and personal goals must also be considered."

'Pakistan Offers Washington New Arabian Sea Port To Tap Critical Minerals'

 Via The Cradle

Advisers to Pakistani army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir proposed to US officials the construction of a new port on the Arabian Sea near the borders with Afghanistan and Iran, according to a Financial Times report released Saturday, citing a plan reviewed by the outlet.

The plan envisions US investors constructing and managing a terminal in Pasni, a coastal town in Gwadar District, Balochistan. The site is described as a gateway to Pakistan’s vital mineral reserves.

The blueprint rules out any US military bases. Instead, it highlights development finance opportunities for a rail network linking Pasni to mineral-rich western provinces, the report says.

The British financial outlet noted that the proposal was circulated to some US officials and later shared with Munir in advance of his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

That meeting, held late last month, followed earlier talks in September when Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought US investment in agriculture, energy, technology, and mining.

According to FT, Sharif pressed Washington to encourage private-sector involvement in Pakistan’s economy, while Munir’s advisers positioned the Pasni port project as a strategic opportunity for American companies.

The report noted that the initiative reflects Islamabad’s efforts to attract western development financing, particularly for infrastructure projects linked to the country’s resource sectors.

Reuters reported that the US State Department, the White House, and Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not respond to requests for comment. Attempts to reach the Pakistani Army were also unsuccessful.

Alongside economic overtures such as the Pasni port proposal to the US, Pakistan is also reshaping its defense posture in West Asia, utilizing its new mutual defense pact with Saudi Arabia to anchor itself as a security guarantor.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed last month that the pact is defensive, not expansionist, and left the “door open” for other Arab states to join, comparing it to NATO.

Trump To Slash Refugee Admissions By 94% From Biden Levels

The Trump White House is poised to dramatically reduce the number of refugees that will be accepted into the United States over the next fiscal year -- with the ceiling falling a whopping 94% from the limit set by the Biden administration, according to a New York Times report.

Citing "people familiar with the matter," the Times says a maximum of just 7,500 refugees would be admitted over the coming year, a tiny fraction of the 125,000 limit set by the Biden administration last year. Most of those slots would be reserved for white Afrikaners fleeing South Africa and its murderous violence against white people and the looming threat of uncompensated land confiscation. Afrikaners now represent less than 5 percent of South Africa's population.

Earlier this year, thousands of white South Africans rallied outside the US embassy in Pretoria, South Africa to thank President Trump for his willingness to accept people fleeing anti-white hostility (Marco Longari/AFP/Getty Images)

The pending reduction and prioritization of white refugees elicited condemnation from promoters of mass immigration. “Such a low refugee ceiling would break America’s promise to people who played by the rules," Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) president Mark Hetfield, told the Times. "Trump isn’t just putting the Afrikaners to the front of the line, he is kicking years-long-waiting refugees out of the line." HIAS has itself been hammered by Trump policies, slashing its staff by more than half after the new administration slashed funding for refugee programs.

In May, a group of 59 white Afrikaner refugees arrived in the United States via a chartered flight, raising eyebrows given the speed with which they were whisked into the country, in contrast to people from other countries who've faced waits that extend over years. “They tell quite harrowing stories of the violence that they faced in South Africa that was not redressed by the authorities by the unjust application of the law,” Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said after welcoming them to Dulles International Airport near Washington DC.

On Sep. 30, Trump signed a presidential determination to reset the ceiling. However, it won't become official until after consultations with Congress that are required by federal law. For now, those consultations will seemingly have to wait until the government shutdown ends. Earlier this week, a quartet of Democratic senators and representatives used a joint letter to accuse Trump of neglecting his duty:

“Despite repeated outreach from Democratic and Republican committee staff, the Trump administration has completely discarded its legal obligation, leaving Congress in the dark and refugees in limbo...The consequences are dire...[the virtual shutdown of the program is] betraying the nation’s promise as a refuge for the oppressed.”

Moving aggressively to put the brakes on Biden's open-border policies, Trump suspended the refugee program with an executive order signed shortly after his inauguration. He similarly suspended the acceptance of migrants presenting at the border under a different official avenue referred to as asylum. Trump subsequently carved out an explicit exception to his refugee-program suspension for Afrikaners. However, it appears the total number of Afrikaners to be accepted into the United States this year is less than 100

Making it to the United States via the refugee program often entails a multi-year wait in overseas refugee camps, along with successfully passing interviews, background checks and medical exams. Some 130,000 conditionally-approved refugees and 14,000 Iranian religious minorities who've already cleared the prerequisites are stuck in limbo.

In other news on the immigration front, the Trump administration has started offering $2,500 apiece to unaccompanied migrant children who are age 14 and older if they'll self-deport to their home countries. The policy was instituted via a memorandum sent to the Department of Health and Human Services on Friday afternoon. NBC News, which obtained a copy, also reported that, according to rumors among immigration advocates, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has christened the self-deportation scheme "Freaky Friday." ICE refuted the name, but confirmed the program, emphasizing that it was a “strictly voluntary option to return home to their families.” In just one of many dimensions of the previous era of open-border madness, more than 300,000 unaccompanied children entered the country during the Biden administration.

Kavanaugh’s attempted assassin: Barely guilty by reason of transgenderism UPDATED

Nicholas Roske traveled from California to Maryland, intending to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh because he believed (correctly, as it turned out) that Kavanaugh would overturn Roe v. Wade’s license to kill babies. We know this is true because Roske appeared at Kavanaugh’s house equipped with all the necessary materials to carry out the crime, surrendering only when he realized his plot would fail. He also planned to kill two other justices, a proposed attack on our constitutional system that merited (and the DOJ asked for) a minimum sentence of 30 years.

A Biden judge, Deborah Boardman, sentenced Roske to only eight years. Her reason? He’s bravely come out as trans in the years since his arrest, his parents have learned to accept this reality, and the real punishment is that he’ll be in a men’s prison because Trump is mean.

Roske and Boardman; created using public domain images.

Roske’s a boring little sexually perverse punk who knew what he planned to do was wrong and did it anyway. He’s guilty of the crime, and the system, if it worked, would lock him away forever. The interesting person in this analysis is Boardman, because she epitomizes the problem with much of our federal judicial system.

According to her minimalist bio, Boardman is a child of D.C., having grown up in nearby Frederick, Maryland. She claims honorary victim status through her mother, who is supposedly “Palestinian,”* giving Boardman victim-identity status.

Since joining the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, Boardman has made some high-profile rulings:

  • August 24, 2023: Boardman ruled against parents who tried to reinstate a policy in the Montgomery County schools that would have allowed them to opt out of lessons promoting LGBTQ ideology on religious grounds. The Supreme Court overruled her.
  • August 19, 2024: Boardman reversed the Trump administration’s analyses about risks from oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico, effectively shutting down all drilling operations.
  • February 5, 2025: Boardman was the first district court judge to block Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship.

Yesterday, Boardman sentenced Roske for attempting a first in American history: Assassinating Supreme Court justices because of policy disagreements. Had Roske succeeded, the Supreme Court would have become a completely leftist enterprise, because Biden would have nominated the replacement justices, and would have “un-written” the Constitution entirely. Additionally, no conservative judge (assuming one ever again reached the Supreme Court) would have felt safe ruling on a case in a way he or she believed to be constitutionally correct but politically conservative.

Under these unique circumstances, Roske should have been sentenced to at least 30 years, the minimum under enhanced federal sentencing guidelines. Boardman, instead, issued a paean from the bench to Roske’s brave transgenderism and his family’s courage in accepting their son as the woman he was always meant to be:

In a more than hour-long speech justifying the light sentence, Boardman said “Ms. Roske came out to herself as transgender in 2020 but kept it secret. Ms. Roske’s sister came out as gay two years prior but Ms. Roske saw that their parents struggled to reconcile her sexuality with their religious beliefs.”

“I am heartened that this terrible infraction has helped the Roske family… accept their daughter for who she is,” Judge Boardman said.

The real crime, Boardman implied, is that, thanks to President Trump’s cruelty, Roske will have to spend his eight years (which will have subtracted from it the three years he’s been in prison awaiting trial) in a men’s prison:

Boardman said “Any prison time is punishment for her. The length doesn’t need to be particularly long… unduly harsh conditions make a difference, too.” The judge continued, “She will be imprisoned in a male facility even though she is a transgender prisoner, pursuant to an executive order from the president. Before the executive order, that wasn’t the case.”

[snip]

Earlier in the hearing, Boardman lashed out at prosecutors and President Donald Trump, saying “Let’s not hide the fact that President Trump issued an executive order saying transgender inmates would be assigned to prisons with their biological sex.”

Oh, the humanity!!

If we look across the Atlantic at the wreck that is the UK, where Muslims can preach hatred and murder in the pulpits and on the streets, but where ordinary citizens are arrested for mean tweets about so-called transgender people, we know exactly where this is going: If America’s leftist jurists have their way, we will have a two-tiered legal system, with different rules for favored leftists and disfavored conservatives.

No system can withstand that strain. If rulings like Boardman’s are allowed to stand, we will end in one of two terrible, bloody ways: tyranny or revolution.

The Trump administration has said it will appeal the sentencing.

UPDATE: In an example of “you can’t make this up” leftist madness, our Orwellian media has already memory-hold Roske’s biological sex (and the real world). Henceforth, he is a woman:

* I put the word “Palestinian” in quotation marks because, before the 1960s, “Palestinian” referred to the Jews who had continuously inhabited the land of Israel for around 4,000 years. The Palestinian identity was a product of the Soviet Union and Yasser Arafat in the 1960s. Before that, the Arab residents of the land were just...Arabs.
