US confirms successful refueling drone test flight

The Boeing MQ-25 Stingray completed its first test flight from the company's facility at MidAmerica Airport in Mascoutah, Illinois, the US Navy confirmed in a statement on Monday.

The aircraft took off at 10:49 am CDT on April 25 and flew for roughly two hours, with military and Boeing pilots controlling it from a ground station to validate flight controls, engine performance, and handling. According to defense industry reports, the previous flight attempt on April 22 was aborted for undisclosed reasons.

The MQ-25A is the Navy's first operational carrier-based unmanned aircraft, designed as an aerial refueling tanker to extend the combat range of crewed fighters. "The MQ-25A is not just an aircraft," said Rear Adm. Tony Rossi, branding it "the first step in integrating unmanned aerial refueling onto the carrier deck."

CENTCOM: Troops 'focused and ready' in Middle East

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Monday that US forces are "focused and ready" across the Middle East amid stalled talks between Washington and Tehran.

"U.S. forces remain focused and ready across the Middle East," CENTCOM wrote on X, sharing a photo of a sailor guiding an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter on the deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher.

On Sunday, United States President Donald Trump said Iran could "call us" if it wanted talks, after canceling a planned Pakistan visit by US envoys. The move followed Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to Pakistan on Friday, where negotiations were expected, before he traveled to Oman and Russia as part of broader diplomatic efforts. Meanwhile, Iran is said to be weighing a phased-negotiations proposal, as Trump is set to meet with security officials to discuss next steps.

Saar: Hezbollah undermining ceasefire

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Monday that Hezbollah is "undermining the ceasefire" during a meeting with United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis in Jerusalem.

"Hezbollah continues to violate the ceasefire, against Lebanon's interests," Saar wrote on X, adding that, "Under pressure by the Iranian regime, Hezbollah has launched roughly 10,000 rockets, missiles, and drones at Israel since March 2nd." He also said Hezbollah is operating in proximity to United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) positions, stating it "systematically deploys its terrorists and assets next to UNIFIL stations" and uses the areas for surveillance and attacks.

"The Government of Lebanon must act decisively against Hezbollah and its terrorists, including through financial measures targeting its sources of funding," Saar stressed. The remarks come as Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said the group "categorically" rejects direct talks between Israel and Lebanon, insisting authorities must halt negotiations.
