Investor Michael Burry Says Exited Entire GameStop Position

Famed investor Michael Burry sold his entire position in GameStop Corp. after the gaming retailer made an offer to buy e-commerce company eBay Inc. for about $56 billion in cash and stock.

Made famous in The Big Short, Burry had helped fuel GameStop’s rally by taking a bullish stance on the firm around 2019. However, the investor told subscribers of his Substack newsletter on Monday that he’d exited, citing concerns about the debt the company could take on for an acquisition.

KUDLOW: More bombing coming as Iran pulls out blank piece of paper for Trumpian dictation

So the Iranians send back a ridiculous set of agreement conditions that doesn’t even mention their nuclear threats. Nor does it mention their constant state-sponsored terrorism. And President Trump quickly responded that it was unacceptable.

Time and again the president has said Iran must not have any nuclear capabilities. No nuke building, no enriched uranium, no missiles, no more terrorist proxies, and no more control over the Strait of Hormuz. Those are his red lines. He will stick to them. And as far as Hormuz is concerned, the United States Navy has now begun the process of reopening the Strait. They’ve guided two ships through today and they are likely to ramp up many many more ships to safely pass through the Strait.

In effect, whether the Iranian thugs realize it or not, America has completely taken over the Persian Gulf, which I guess should be the Arabian Gulf, although I may personally be willing to hold out for the Trump Gulf. The Iranians took shots at the United Arab Emirates, which has become a staunch American ally. Leaving OPEC ramping up oil production and transacting through the dollar.

Our naval blockade continues to work as Iran continues to drop into economic and financial ruin. No oil, no money, no meeting payroll or retirement packages. Even all that money the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has stolen and looted from the Iranian people, including running their businesses into the ground, and all that offshore bank accounting has now been frozen or even seized by the United States Treasury.

Meanwhile, without oil exporting, Iran’s storage capabilities are filled up and overflowing, and a shutdown is imminent. Once that happens, the oil fields will be badly damaged for quite some time.

The blockade is going to stay in place. The Navy is going to gradually reopen the Strait of Hormuz and American order will be imposed on the whole region, as more super tankers flow through, that should begin to ease oil prices and perhaps even gasoline prices at the pump. The ceasefire has lasted 3 weeks, though. The Iranians haven’t responded with any serious talks. And my hunch is Mr. Trump is losing patience with them.

At some point Iranian leaders are not going to make it home at night before a resumption of bombing occurs. Analysts say it will only take a couple more weeks to fully complete the mission. There can be no deal without the president’s red lines. And, indeed, I still believe we are headed for unconditional surrender.

I can just see Mr. Trump at a meeting with some Iranian leader if he can find one. Tell that person to take out a blank sheet of paper and write down this and that. That’s called dictation. Unconditional dictation.

Iran-tied hackers claim attack on UAE's Fujairah

The Iran-linked hacking group, Handala, claimed on Monday that it launched a cyberattack on defense systems at the United Arab Emirates' oil terminal in the city of Fujairah before the facility was struck by Iranian projectiles earlier today.

The group said in a statement that the cyber and military attacks were conducted in coordination. It also announced that it will soon release documents related to this operation, as well as thousands of other confidential documents.

Iranian missiles hit the Fujairah oil facility earlier today, sparking fire and leaving three Indian workers injured.

US Secret Service: One person shot near WH

It noted that the condition of the shot individual is currently unknown. Furthermore, the service warned the public to avoid the area while a response is ongoing.

NYC principal ‘Creepy Bill’ could dodge sex-abuse raps and keep pension

A Queens principal dubbed “Creepy Bill’’ could dodge sex-abuse charges — and potentially spend the rest of his days living on a cushy taxpayer-funded pension — if he just retires, according to his accusers.

Longtime Academy of American Studies Principal William Bassell, 67, who earned his derogatory moniker from weirded-out students, was set to begin his criminal trial last week.

He has been accused criminally of sex abuse and forcible touching involving two female teachers — and of groping a teen student and also targeting female underlings for more than a decade, according to a pair of civil suits.

One suit accuses him of grabbing a teacher’s breast and bombarding her with more than 30,000 texts, some of which included graphic sexual content.

“You know what you can do with that tongue don’t you….,” the high-school principal allegedly wrote the educator — adding a tongue emoji.

He also once reached under a 16-year-old student’s skirt and groped her, according to a lawsuit.

But prosecutors announced at the start of his trial that they have offered Bassell a special deal where his criminal charges will be tossed if he resigns from the Department of Education and completes sex-offender treatment.

Bassell would still face the civil federal lawsuits that claim he turned his public school into “his personal playground for sexual fulfillment.”

“I believe that Bassell’s removal is a long overdue first step, but Bassell and the DOE have not truly been held accountable yet,” said Amy Robinson, who reps five of his alleged victims.

Robinson said she and her clients also have “unanswered questions regarding whether Bassell will receive a generous pension upon resignation.”

He earned a whopping $204,305 last year, which would help provide the basis for any annual pension.

The city Department to Education, which said it has since removed Bassell from his post, indicated that the defendant’s union ultimately decides pension issues.

The union did not respond to a Post request for comment.

Khiabet Leal, who claims in a lawsuit that “Creepy Bill” groped her as a student outside of the Met Opera, said, “It is profoundly troubling and infuriating that Bassell, who groped me beneath my skirt when I was just 16 years old, may receive in excess of $1 million in pension payments over the next 10 years.”

Another alleged victim, social worker and lawsuit plaintiff Tara Murphy, said she hopes to see a “more meaningful consequence than a taxpayer-funded pension.”

Leslie Kohn, an alleged victim in Bassell’s criminal case and a plaintiff in the civil suit helmed by Robinson, said, “The most important outcome for women and girls is that Bassell will no longer be in a position of power within the DOE.”

Bassell served as principal at the school since 2011.

“This alleged behavior is reprehensible and wholly unacceptable,” said Chyann Tull, a rep for the DOE, to The Post.

“This individual was immediately removed from students upon learning of these allegations.”

Bassell is due back in court June 15 for an update on the case. It is unclear if he is expected at the time to either accept or reject the prosecution’s offer — a situation first reported by the New York Daily News.

It also is not clear whether a judge has to sign off on the move, which is not a plea deal.

Bassell’s lawyer declined comment to The Post.
