'Araghchi: Europe realizes mistake of not condemning war'

 Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Wednesday that European countries are coming to terms with their mistake of not strongly opposing the war from the beginning. He stated that Europeans "are realizing what they did wrong" and should have "condemned and stood against this war from day one."

He criticized Europe's self-proclaimed role as a defender of international law and Western values, suggesting its credibility is now in doubt. Araghchi added that European nations remain unwilling to acknowledge their errors.

The comments came as Araghchi also addressed recent message exchanges with the United States through intermediaries, which he said did not constitute negotiations or dialogue. "It is simply an exchange of messages through friends, and in this exchange of messages, we have repeated our principled positions and in some places we have also given warnings," he insisted.
