Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi announced in a statement on Wednesday that the GCC and Jordan have issued a joint call on Iran to immediately halt its military attacks against their territories.
The joint demand came following the adoption of a UN Human Rights Council resolution, submitted by Bahrain on behalf of both nations. Al Budaiwi stated that the resolution, which garnered support from over 100 countries, reinforces the international community's united stance against Iran's aggression on states not involved in any conflict.
The joint call urges Iran to cease all violations, respect international law, protect civilians, and compensate for damages in maritime security and environmental protection resulting from its attacks.
